Loving God
ove is at the heart of our faith. This is not surprising, because the God who is the essence of our faith is love (1 John 4.16). What we might find surprising is practicing this love is more complicated than we first imagine. How is loving my friend different from loving my spouse (if married)? What about people I do not get along with or strongly disagree with? Or, what sort of love would call me to love my enemies? What does love look like in the daily discipline of following Jesus? All are welcome to join us as we reflect on the First Letter of John.
