Worship and Covid Protocols

As a council we are constantly monitoring the latest communications by the Alberta Government and AHS, and responding to help guide our church through this challenging time in the safest manner in the spirit of the ‘Second Commandment’ – loving our neighbor as ourselves (Matthew 22.35-40). AHS has deemed worship assemblies as ‘essential services’, and thus we welcome all members and guests to join us. However, council affirms the importance that vaccination plays in overcoming the pandemic, and encourages all eligible people to be vaccinated for the protection of the vulnerable. If you are feeling sick or uncomfortable attending we request that you use our online services; reminders to use such services are in the interest of protecting those most at risk. In person 1/3 capacity attendance requires face coverings and physical distancing. For the safety of our children, we require that all Sunday School teachers and helpers are vaccinated. Please note that all these measures are temporary and will surely be adjusted as we navigate this health crisis. We continue to covet your prayers and patience and ask for these to be extended to our government leaders and health care workers in this difficult time. We look forward to the time we all can worship together in person again. Thank you. CRCSA Council

Additional points of clarity:

1. We are taking precautions to minimize the risk for all who attend, however we cannot eliminate that risk completely. If you or someone in your home is experiencing symptoms of Covid-19 such as a fever, new onset of cough or worsening chronic cough, new or worsening shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, sore throat, runny nose (children exempt from this one as per AHS guidelines) we ask that you join via livestream instead. This is for the safety of all attendees. We will continue to provide on-line worship services for all who are not able to attend in person.

2. Hand sanitizers are available throughout the church. We ask that you clean your hands upon entering and exiting the building.

3. We will avoid passing around the physical giving baskets at this time (they are located at the back of the sanctuary).

Our goal is to enjoy worshiping our Lord as a community of faith together in a safe way. Thank you for your patience and understanding, and for your support and blessing over the past many months. May the Spirit of the Lord give us wisdom and guide us as we look ahead in faith to the future he has prepared for us as his church. And may the grace and peace be ours in abundance in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, (II Peter 1.2).

Kids Zone

We have a great Kids Zone set up in the sanctuary. This table is set up for kids to come and pick a few things to keep them involved during the service. Books, activity sheets, crayons, dancing rings, and memory verse cards.

All are welcome. Wiggle, giggles and all!
