September 25, 2023 - Monday at 7:00 pm

Congregational Meeting: Everyone is invited to participate in a congregational meeting on Monday, September 25, with refreshments at 6.30 and official meeting start at 7 pm. This is a special meeting in which we will gather in small groups to discuss the Human Sexuality Report (approved by Synod 2022), and the 'possible pathway forward' our church council has shared with you. Please read this document (shared via email last Tuesday) carefully in preparation for our discussions. This meeting is a significant opportunity for us as a church family to engage in hearing one another, sharing our experiences, thoughts, and feelings. We need to hear from everyone; we need to hear from you. May the Spirit of our Lord rest upon as we engage together.

Current Sermon Series: Loving God

Love is at the heart of our faith. This is not surprising, because the God who is the essence of our faith is love (1 John 4.16). What we might find surprising is practicing this love is more complicated than we first imagine. How is loving my friend different from loving my spouse (if married)? What about people I do not get along with or strongly disagree with? Or, what sort of love would call me to love my enemies? What does love look like in the daily discipline of following Jesus? All are welcome to join us as we reflect on the First Letter of John.
September 3: 1 John 4.9,10, 16-18 - Loving God
September 10: 1 John 3.11-18 - Loving Each Other (1)
September 17: 1 John 2.3-10 - Loving Each Other (2)
September 24: 1 John 4.1-4; 5.18-21 - Loving in the World
October 1: 1 John 1.1-4 - Loving for Joy
